Ex-Change is an annual exhibition that displays student work from the Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture. The student work ranged from first year undergraduate projects to PhD projects and the exhibition was displayed in the College of Fine Arts Building from August 30th to October 7th 2022.

This exhibition also served as a celebration of students and professors returning back to campus after the Covid-19 pandemic. While the 2020 Ex-Change exhibition was fully virtual, the 2021 iteration used a hybrid format. The format consisted of a publication and a video game. The video game displayed student work in an open ended world and students could play the game in the exhibition space using blobular controllers. Each student was given a copy of the publication and in the book case, there was a controller that they could use to play the game on their own devices.

I was the Design-Build Lead for the exhibition. My role in creating the exhibition was setting up the physical exhibition. This included fabricating the boards on which the game was projected and the cases for the book/controllers. The boards were made out of foam and they were CNC routed and then painted. The book case was created by vacuum forming a wood form that was CNC routed. In addition, I assisted with the collection and organization of student work for the publication.
